Hi! My name is Rachel Borsa and I'm the captain of the Purdue Air Race Team for 2014. My experience with the Air Race Classic has been incredible. I've flown across the country once... and get to do it again in this year's race. Life could not be any better than that. But the best part about the Air Race Classic is the amazing women who participate. I've met airline pilots, mother-daughter teams, college friends, and people who thought it looked like fun so they decided to race together. Everyone has a different profession, but we all have the same passion, AVIATION! I've never seen more airplane jewelry in my life. I was in heaven and am way too excited for the fun to start again!
I can't wait for this race to start, especially with Haley as my co-pilot. She's cool, confident and I can't wait to introduce her to everyone at the race. I'm sure she will love it as much as I do.

Haley Myers
Co-Pilot
Hi everyone! I’m Haley Myers and I am the co-pilot of the 2014 Purdue Air Race Team. I am a senior in Professional Flight Technology and love to fly! I am very excited to fly across the country this summer as co-pilot. I have been on the Purdue Air Race Team for the past three years and am so thankful that I was chosen to be this year’s co-pilot. Last year I participated as our Ground Crew Coordinator getting our ground crew prepped throughout the school year to bring our best foot forward come race-week. I had a blast with them during last year’s race and will miss them this year. I would not have gotten to be co-pilot without them!
They have been so supportive of me getting to this point and even though we won’t be in the same state for the race, I couldn’t be luckier to have such an amazing team on my side!
I am also excited to be going on this journey with my captain Rachel Borsa. We met as freshmen in Professional Flight and got to know each other during classes and air race meetings. Even then, it was our dream to do this race together and this year we will see it fulfilled.
